The ugly truth about DFY funnels

CloudNet360 Funnel

I could tease you and withhold the ugly truth about DFY (done for you) funnels until the end of this article but there are enough naive people that won’t believe me anyhow so I’ll tell you right now and save some of you the time required to read to the bottom.

DFY Funnels don’t work.

(For the rest of you, keep reading because the solution to the problem is detailed below)

This simple truth is flying in the face of so many Facebook “experts” that claim your business is lacking one thing and one thing only… the “super funnel” that only they can create for you.

Frank Kern was amongst the first, and best, to promote the myth that he can build a funnel for you that will magically transform your business by routing prospects through a labyrinth of steps to convert them into paying customers that beg to buy your product and every up sell you push onto their screen.

He was so good at these funnels that he promoted his book where he taught others how to become “experts” so they could live a lavish lifestyle creating funnels for others and earn huge paychecks for their expertise.

Thankfully for everyone that wants a DFY funnel, you now have unlimited options and suppliers to choose from… if only they actually worked – but they don’t.

That’s not to say all hope is lost.

You can still get help building a funnel but you need to understand the difference between a DFY funnel and a DWY funnel.

DFY (done for you) = Cookie cutter funnel based upon someone else’s idea of how your business operates and what your customer base wants.

DWY (done with you) = Sales funnel that replicates your business as it already exists and simply makes it better while automating the “drudgery” items so you don’t need to do them any longer.

Until your business is just like all the others, until your customer’s demand the exact same thing as all the others… you need to keep operating your business in the manner that has brought you to this point. Not to say you should not improve your business every day but there’s already a “secret sauce” in the success of your business that you own and others do not have.

It’s easy to believe there’s a shortcut, a silver bullet or “secret” technique that will 10X your business but the reality is that you already know far more about your business than the “experts” telling you how to “change” your business. Don’t fall into this trap.

At CloudNet360, you’ll receive expert help with DWY (done with you) funnels that acknowledge the expertise and years of experience you bring to the table. We’ll help you transform what you’re already doing today into an automated process so you can do more of what makes you successful.

If you’ve made it this far, I’m assuming you’re already tired of the hype and ready for an “adult conversation”. Call us today to discover the difference between “Facebook experts” and “real world expertise”.

How to Sell More?

Cloudnet360 CRM Selling Secret

Every retailer, every business owner works with the same goal of making more sales to ensure a big profit. Achieving this goal is easier said than done and whoever has been in the business would agree on this. You have a selling strategy, but that might not work, you make the offer, but how do you know that the buyers would fall for it? It is almost like fishing, the bait goes into the water, but there is no guarantee that the fish will take it.

A good fisherman follows some simple fishing strategies which helps him land the fishes straight into his boat. You too need to strategise well to be able to tempt your customers, a little tweaking of your sales strategy could help you get the desired profit.

• Location & Targeting– This is perhaps the most crucial factor in your sales strategy. While fishing if you target the entire lake, you would end up wasting your time and your baits, you need to target those areas where the fishes are supposed to lurk around and place your baits there. Likewise, when you’re targeting keywords online, focus on the keywords that target the customers of your most direct competitors. For example, if you’re selling Nikon cameras, then a few effective keyword phrases would be “Canon alternative”, “Canon price” or “Canon warranty”. Let Canon cast the “wide net” for people seeking a digital camera, let Canon burn through hordes of advertising cash, and then you can swoop in at the last minute to highjack the sale.

• Presentation– You need to present the offer in a tempting way to not only grab their attention but to make them buy your product. If you make an offer for a limited period of time they won’t be able to ignore it, especially when the offer is available for a few days only. They will definitely make a move. There’s a reason why smart retailers use holidays like July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc., to promote their products. Holidays aren’t the only option; you can create any reason you choose, but it’s always important to have a reason, because it’s proven that people are more likely to accept your offer when there’s a reason for the offer.

• The “Take Away”– When you make an offer, you need to stress on the expiration of the offer so that the customers feel that they are going to lose the opportunity and in the rush they end up buying your product. The fear of loss is often more powerful than the desire for gain so make sure your customers know when they are about to lose out on a special deal.

Selling more could be challenging, but it is not an impossible feat to achieve, you just need to make sure that you are using the right strategies.

CRM Purpose – Add a Purpose to Your Sales Path

Running a business could be really challenging, especially when you are managing everything on your own. You have to run so many errands everyday that at some point it becomes impossible for you to keep track. But with CloudNet360 CRM you can easily overcome this issue as this system is specifically built for people like you.

In the process of running your business, you create more than one sales path and as your business grows bigger these sales paths also start to grow in number. When you created all these sales paths you definitely did so because you had a reason. Each sales path was created with a definite purpose, but with time as they grew in number, it became difficult for you to remember which one was created with what purpose.

The latest feature added into the CloudNet360 CRM could help you find the perfect solution to this problem. Let’s find out what this is all about.

Now when you visit the crm you will find that there is a new option “ Purpose” added to the sales path section. This allows you to add a purpose to the sales path you create and it acts as a reminder later by helping you recall why that sales path was created.

As far as your existing sales paths are concerned, which have no purpose assigned to them, you could easily manage those too. Just select a sales path and click on the purpose section and check whether it has any purpose, if it does not contain any purpose then go the particular sales path you want and then choose the edit option which allows you to add a new purpose.

Now you can remember the purpose of every sales path you create without having to feel confused. The best part is all you have to do is point and click to perform this function, it is that easy.

With CloudNet360, you will always find an easy way to sell more. Take the free trial offer to give your business the much needed boost.

CRM Sales Automation Efficiency

CRM Sales automation is truly the Holy Grail of small business efficiency and usually determines whether a small business grows through increased productivity and efficiency or is forced to grow through the brute force of hiring additional employees to increase the output of the business.

For some businesses, hiring additional employees may seem like the shortest route to increased business growth but anyone that’s already been down this hiring path already knows the pitfalls of adding headcount with the step function jump in expenses that go along with every additional employee.

Certainly, adding employees can be a great way to drive business growth but hiring people before optimizing your existing sales, marketing, and business processes means you’ll simply have more people doing things in an inefficient manner.

The smarter path is to first maximize your efficiency through automation and then hire the people necessary to push these optimized processes. This allows you to extract every dollar of value from your employees.

Some people will argue that it’s better to first hire people and have them help create the automation but this is like increasing inventory levels to help you figure out “just in time” inventory techniques. Just as the increased inventory will cover the rocks in the river, the additional headcount will only delay the need for process optimization.

Plus, these new employees will not understand your business and the subtle intricacies of “why you do what you do” with the depth of knowledge you’ve acquired over years of experience.

Optimizing your business is not about changing your business. If implemented correctly, CRM sales automation will mimic what you’re already doing today, but do it for you. Or at least help you do it faster and easier.

You may not have it formally documented, but there’s already a specific sales and marketing process that you follow today and a properly executed CRM sales automation plan will simply take those existing steps and automate them. And best of all, you can implement these automation steps 1 at a time so you can convert your manual sales process into an automated sales process step-by-step and piece-by-piece.

After all, swallowing the elephant isn’t hard if you do it one bite at a time.

CRM sales automation might seem out of reach for the average small business but the average small business that realizes they have all the skills needed pull this off themselves will quickly discover they are no longer an “average” small business and are now a fast growing business.

If you want to Sell More… Faster, then the CloudNet360 CRM sales automation is the software you need today.

Don’t Sell What Customers “Need”…

…sell them what they “covet”!

Are you selling your customers what they “need” or what they “covet”?

covet_image

Because how you answer this question will make all the difference in the success of your business.

Let me start with a quick personal story to demonstrate what I mean.

Growing up in a family of five, I lived in what I thought was your everyday “average” home.

3 bedrooms, kitchen, family room, a small backyard to play in and parks within walking distance. A home cooked meal, clothes that mostly fit, and a clean, dry bed.

What more could I ever “need”?

Fast forward 25 years and we’re sitting in the kitchen of my new house eating turkey on Thanksgiving when my father asks me, “how large is the family room”? When I gave him the dimensions, he chuckled a little and said, “that was the size of our entire house when you were growing up”.

Now I’m pretty sure I don’t “need” this house. When the bathrooms outnumber the people living in the house, you might have more than you “need”, but I sure did covet the place.

The oversized wood shop (man cave), and 3rd floor game room just screamed my name so I found a way to buy the place and then I justified the purchase 10 ways to Sunday.

In the iconic movie “Silence of the Lambs”, Anthony Hopkins helped Jodie Foster, the detective, find the murderer by telling her to look for him where the murderer could view his victims.

His theory was the murderer “coveted” the victims and people will covet the things they can see.

In the movie, this advice helped Jodie Foster find the murderer and the reality is that this is some of the best marketing advice you can get for the measly price of a Red Box movie rental.

The concept is simple, but in reality, most businesses fail to make their customers truly “covet” their products. Which is shocking since it’s so easy to do. The easiest method is to simply let your prospects “see” your product.

My favorite example is Performance Bike.

Performance bike will send emails to their list every day, or at least 5 days a week. Most of the time, the offers are simply repackaged, but essentially the same, as the day before and the day before that.

But the more I see those high end bikes with carbon fiber rims and electronic shifting the more I want to put another bike on the rack in my home gym.

My current bikes are already far more than I will ever truly “need” but I do covet those shiny new, go fast, machines and I know I’ll find a reason to buy another one soon.

Performance Bike isn’t selling me anything I “need”, they’re selling me stuff I “covet” and that’s a huge difference. As humans, we “need” very little but we “covet” a whole lot.

The average “local bike shop” will send a snail mail flyer once in the spring and maybe again in the fall to announce the clearance sale of all their unsold inventory.

This approach doesn’t make me “covet” their products, it barely makes me aware of their existence and only does so in a money saving discount mode. There are so many ways for a local bike shop to build up fierce customer loyalty but they simply choose the wrong path and then complain when the loose money ends up in the register at the “local” Performance Bike store.

Performance Bike is a highly successful, national chain, while the local bike shops toil away just to survive year after year.

Bikes, software, clothes, food, etc… it’s all the same!

It’s my job to make you “covet” our business system and then to have you “covet” the Platinum package.

I do this by staying in front of you with email, blog posts, product videos, and having our staff of e-Business Advisors demonstrate the powerful selling and automation tools we provide.

I’ll show you how easy it is to use the Advanced Upsell system so you can sell more to your customers and how to use the Sales Paths to sell more to your current customers and turn tem into “repeat” customers.

Or how to repurpose your content and easily create a Membership Site, or a 2nd, 3rd, or 4th Membership Site.

But do you really “need” those additional sales or do you simply “covet” them? Or do really covet the results of what these systems bring you?

Will you go out of business if your sales flat line and you just continue on as you are now? Or maybe you’re already growing so why bother growing faster?

The reality is that you don’t “need” the Platinum package, with all the sales and revenue boosters, because you really don’t “need” a new car, you don’t “need” a bigger house, you don’t “need” to go on a luxury cruise… but I know I personally “covet” all those things and you probably do too.

So I’m going to keep showing you how you can:

  • Go on a cruise
  • Move into a bigger house
  • Buy that Porsche 911
  • Dine at 5 Star restaurants
  • Retire early
  • Send your kids to an Ivy League school
  • …heck, you’ll even lose weight with your own personal trainer and your sweat will smell so good that Axe will pay you royalties just to bottle the essence!

All you need to do is simply use our Platinum system and implement all the powerful sales, upsell, follow up, scheduling, nurturing tools to sell more to your customers and grow your business faster than you’re growing today and faster than you ever thought possible.

The real question for you is, “are you ready to do the same for your customers”? Or are you only going to sell them what they “need”?

The things we “need” are limited, cost sensitive, and hard to justify but the things we covet are limitless and require no justification other than we want them.

When you sell into the market of “need”, you face tough pricing and a small market. When you sell into the market of “covet”, pricing is hugely elastic and the market is limitless.

Are you ready to go big? If you’re already a customer then upgrade now to Platinum and if you’re not a customer, then take your Test Drive Today.
